Here up in the North office we've been working hard on preparations for our Small Change BIG Impact initiative taking place throughout September. We shared some ideas with you back in May through our Small Change BIG Impact blog which you can read here if you missed it.
This year, our Small Change BIG Impact collections and events will coincide with Blood Cancer Awareness Month and the launch of our new name, new look, new website and our blood cancer awareness campaign - the biggest one in the UK, ever!
We are thrilled by the support we receiving from fundraisers and volunteers all keen to get stuck in by creating their own fundraising events or by helping out at one of our pre-organised collections. We really couldn’t do this without you!
Our local Branches and Fundraising Groups are being as supportive as ever organising collections at supermarkets, local town centres and even football grounds and do look out for our Branch awareness stalls which might be popping up near you.
Even our researchers are on board, understanding the money raised through this campaign will help with their life saving work taking place across the North in Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle and York.
We still have a few street collections however where we'd love some extra help, so if you can spare a couple of hours at one of the locations below, please email me:
5th September intu Metrocentre, Gateshead
5th September Manchester City Centre
19th September intu Eldon Square, Newcastle-upon-Tyne
26th September York Train Station, York
And, don’t forget, if you have any ideas of your own, and want to get involved, please do get in touch.
You might find my most recent blog with our top three easy fundraising ideas a great way to get started. Read it here.
