On Wednesday 1st April, Bromsgrove and District Branch held its general meeting to discuss all the up and coming events in the area that they have planned…..or so long standing committee member Sue Knoll thought. This was no April Fool’s day joke, it was recognition of 20 years of dedicated support to our charity and the amazing fundraising work taking place in Bromsgrove.
Prof Chris Bunce, our Director of Research was also at the meeting to present the award to Sue. ‘I am blown away but the dedication and amazing work that Branches, like Bromsgrove and District do, they raise a huge amount of money and work really hard to ensure that we can fund our vital work. It is such a pleasure to be able to present Sue with this award’.
Nicole Harris Chair of the Branch said ‘Sue has been our secretary for over 20 years and has been active in the fundraising all that time. When sadly our treasurer passed away she stepped in and ensured a smooth transition. She organises all the risks assessments and bookings for all our events and is so reliable. Sue has become a good friend to us all and we are extremely grateful for all her hard work’
