I would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who is supporting me doing the Birmingham Bikeathon in aid of Leukaemia & Lymphoma research.
Those of you that know me, know that I do try and cycle a couple of journeys to work each week and … when added up makes me look like a pro, but when I arrive at work… looking like a wheezing, dribbling mess each day you can see that I am far from a pro lol. My journeys are far from uneventful giving that I’m terrified of geese they seem to really dislike me, scared of going on roads, scared of cycling in the wind and rain and scared of hills lol
So this is going to be my first ‘big’ bike ride…. Yes yes I know it’s only the 26 miles (I did think actually think hmmmm if I raise double my target I will do the 52) but didn’t put that anywhere as if 26 miles scares me… 52 will put me into sheer panic attacks for the entire run up to the big day (it is still at the back of my mind though). To a fair weather cyclist like me… 26 miles will be like cycling to the moon and back.
