Our previous partners
Our partnership with Royal London surpassed all expectations. Starting in 2013, with an initial target of £100,000, colleagues smashed through this raising £219,000 by the end of 2015. Fundraising included an all-office event which saw colleagues virtually walk around the world (twice!), sporting and challenge events, as well as photo competitions. The money raised by Royal London not only funded vital research into blood cancer but also the 2015 Bloodwise Disneyland trip, which saw a group of families affected by blood cancer being taken on an all-expenses paid weekend, enabling them to enjoy a well-deserved break from the harsh reality of their cancer.
In 2009 Bluefin launched a partnership with Bloodwise and supported us for two years raising over £70,000.
In July 2007 Argos, Britain’s leading catalogue retailer, launched their partnership with Bloodwise. Within a year, staff had raised over £900,000 doubling their original target of £400,000 and making it their most successful charity partnership ever!
Marks and Spencer
Thoughout June 2012, Marks and Spencer stores across the UK sold exclusive Tatty Teddy key rings, wearing our red t-shirt, as part of our Putting Childhood Leukaemia to Bed campaign. All proceeds went straight to our life-saving work.
BGC – voice and electronic brokerage
From 2009 to 2012, BGC supported Bloodwise and raised over £150k to help beat blood cancer.
British Gas Business Oxford
British Gas Business Oxford, chose Bloodwise as their Charity of the Year in 2010, raising almost £10,000 to help beat blood cancers.
BNP Paribas Real Estate
In an unique fundraising challenge, the heads of BNP Paribas Real Estate’s 11 UK regional offices were given £100 each by the company to turn into as much money as possible in March 2010. The ‘Charity Challenge’ saw the heads competing against each other to be named top fundraiser and raised £35,000 in total.
City Inn proudly supported Bloodwise in its 50th year in 2010 by sponsoring a series of Celebration Evenings for supporters around the country. As well as selling pin badges to celebrate our 50th birthday, City Inn also donated £5 from the cost of every afternoon tea served for one month from 19 May.
The UK office of Hogan Lovells, a global legal practice, selected Bloodwise as their Charity of the Year 2011/13. After a great first year, in which the team cycled London to Paris, held their own spinathon and danced at Legally ballroom, we are set to have another brilliant year ahead. To date Hogan Lovells have raised a fantastic £56,700 to help beat blood cancers.
Corney & Barrow
In May 2010 Corney & Barrow Wine Bars selected Bloodwise as their Charity of the Year partner and we were delighted to be chosen again as their partner in 2011.
Sainsbury’s Central Retail
Sainsbury’s Central Retail (SCR) decided to support Bloodwise as their Charity of the Year in 2012/13. We were delighted to work with SCR on a number of different events to raise money to help beat blood cancer.
CSA Celebrity Speakers
CSA, Europe's leading Speaker Bureau joined forces with Bloodwise in 2010 to celebrate our 50th Anniversary. Staff really entered into the spirit of fundraising and raised over £50,000 in total!
In 2003 we were chosen as the first charity of the year for Dairy Crest. The success of the two-year partnership led to an extension to four years during which time Dairy Crest staff raised an amazing £1 million, smashing the initial £500,000 target.
East London Textiles Ltd
From January 2012 East London Textiles carried out house to house collections on our behalf, dropping our branded collection bags in pre-agreed areas around the UK. We received at least £60,000 each year from this relationship.
Advertising adency Dentsu Group, joined forces with us to fundraise to help beat blood cancers.
The Restaurant Group
The Restaurant Group begain their partnership with a target to raise £150,000 in six months, but with the committment of teams all over the country, The Restaurant Group smashed their target and raised a phenominal £275,000.
In 2005 following a staff vote, Deloitte entered into a two year partnership with Bloodwise and The British Heart Foundation, aiming to raise £1 million. The partnership was a huge success, and for the first time ever, Deloitte extended it for a further year raising £2.02 million in total!
Dunfermline Building Society
Dunfermline Building Society were fast out of the gates with their fundraising efforts raising over £3,700 from a charity race night held in support of their charity partners Bloodwise and Macmillan Cancer Support. To help raise awareness about Bloodwise Dunfermline Building Society also encouraged their 480 staff to give blood during an organised blood drive.
Partners and staff from each of the 33 offices of leading financial and business advisers Grant Thornton, took part in the initiative dubbed 'On yer bike!’ as they launched their partnership with Bloodwise in 2005. They extended their support further by nominating us as their first national Charity of the Year for 2006 after a firm-wide vote.
Independent Clinical Services
Independent Clinical Services supported Bloodwise as their Charity of the Year in 2012/13, with a 10k challenge run in 2013 and finishing off their fundraising year by dropping off their senior managers in unknown locations and have them charm their way back to ICS offices without spending any money.
Marks Sattin chose Bloodwise as their first ever charity partner in 2009 and 2010 through a variety of different events.
Staff at Morson International raised over £8,000 from a celebrity football match and whole raft of sponsored events including the Manchester to Blackpool bike ride, BUPA 10k Run and a number of smaller initiatives such as raffles.
Persimmon Group supported Bloodwise during 2011, and since 2000, the company's 'Building to Beat Cancer' campaign has raised over £1million for leading cancer charities.
Pontin's supported Bloodwise as their first Charity of the Year during our 50th anniversary in 2010, asking customers to add £1 donations to their bookings all year.
The Royal Garden Hotel
The Royal Garden Hotel, Kensington got involved in a range of fundraising activities organised during our 50th Anniversary. Staff organised raffles, social events and even ran the London Marathon. and also sold pin badges in reception, asking customers to add a £1 donation to their hotel bill and an Afternoon Tea promotion with the hotel donating £1 for every tea sold.
In 2010 Simplyhealth joined our Big Five-0 Challenge and kindly donated £50,000 to support our life-saving work.
