Welcome to Blood Cancer UK in the North East!

We're keen to hear from people who want to find out more about us. Whether you'd like to fundraise, volunteer, or are interested in our work, our cancer research in the North East can go even further with your help.

Our events are fun and rewarding, and we're always on the lookout for enthusiastic people to give a bit of their time - taking part, volunteering, or even organising their own events to help beat blood cancer. If that sounds like you, please get in touch!

We have some fantastic long-term supporters in the North East, groups and individuals, organising events such as the Grimsby Bikeathon and the Holy Island Forget Me Not Walk.

You might want to get involved in one of our new Community Groups, being the local face of Blood Cancer UK in your area. Or, you might want to give some of your time to place collection tins in your local area. However you might like to join in, we'd love to hear from you!

The South Tyneside Fundraising Group has been supporting the charity for a number of years, raising funds by cycling the Atlantic to the Mediterranean, hosting car-boot sales, collections and restaurant evenings, all to help beat blood cancer. They are always looking for more volunteers to help and would love to hear from you if you have time to get involved.

The North Northumberland Fundraising Group was established in 2010 and has been busy raising vital funds to beat blood cancer ever since. They organise a number of local events every year including their 2021 Holy Island Forget Me Not walk.

The Newcastle Fundraising Group has been supporting us since 1998 and mostly help by accepting local donations on our behalf. We would love to recruit more members to join this group to help with organising local events and collections and would love to hear from you if you'd be interested in joining a new Newcastle Community Group.

Our newly formed Durham Community Group has an exciting year planned and are looking for more members to join to help ideas become a reality. If you live in Durham and would like to get involved, please get in touch.
