Starting a local Community Group is a really great way to raise vital funds to support blood cancer research and those affected by blood cancer, whilst also meeting new people and having lots of fun!
Starting a group doesn't have to mean lots of people or lots of hours, every single person and every penny raised can make a huge difference in bringing us closer to help beat blood cancer. From putting out collection tins in local shops, holding bucket collections in supermarkets or hosting your own fundraising events, our friendly Regional Relationships Team will help and guide you every step of the way. Set up in 1965, this Branch has raised more than £650,000 and remains very active in organising many fundraising events each year. They also tend the Leukaemia Rose Bed of Remembrance at Blackpool Stanley Park.
Since forming in 2019, the Manchester Community Group has raised nearly £3,000 through a variety of events such as stewarding the Manchester Marathon and look forward to raising much, much more.
Since losing her husband Andrew Moretta in October 2015 within 24 hours to acute leukaemia, Elaine and the Isle of Man Fundraising Group has raised £35,500 through donations and fundraising events.
Although Blood Cancer UK is not presently established in the Isle of Man, a local group has chosen to raise funds on its behalf.
Newly formed in 2019, the Group is looking forward to raising loads of funds and awareness in the Liverpool area.
Year on year, our South Cheshire Branch remains very active and dedicated to raising funds to beat blood cancer. Since the Branch's formation in 1976, they've raised nearly £350,000. They also get their local community involved, such as the Nantwich Young Farmers, who also have supported us for many years.
Since 1974 this Group has raised nearly £250,000 for blood cancer research through events and collections.
This Group was formed in 1965 and has been raising money to beat blood cancer ever since. Through events and other activities, the Group has raised nearly £270,000.
