In your area
Welcome to the Jersey Branch page. We were formed in 1979 and we've been raising money to beat blood cancer ever since.
We hold lots of events in our local area, and we're always looking for new people to join our group, whether you'd like to get involved on a regular basis or just help out whenever you can. If you'd like to join us, we'd love to hear from you, so please get in touch!

7th Annual Kids' Triathlon a great success, raising approximately £12,500 for Bloodwise
Our 7th annual Kids' Triathlon was once again a great success, with over 520 children taking part on 8th June 2019. This is not a race but an opportunity for the children to try to become adept at swimming, cycling and running and to improve their well-being. Every child receives a t-shirt, a medal, a reusable water bottle and a goodie bag when they pass under the finishing arch. The ages are from school year 3 to 9 and there is a prize for the school from which most pupils come on a pro-rata basis.
This year was extra special as we had some children from our sister Island Guernsey take part.
Once again we’d like to say an enormous thank you to our sponsors, Vistra, who were very generous financially and with providing volunteers on the day. We also must thank 3D Events for their continued support and David Holmes for organising the actual triathlon.
The weather was good to us in the afternoon after a morning of fighting to hold onto awnings during a couple of wild squalls! Everyone had a good time and the feedback from parents was amazing.
From this event we raised approximately £12,500 for Bloodwise and we were very pleased with that result.
Bloodwise Jersey Branch raises £20,000 for vital blood cancer research
On Friday 7 September, at the newly refurbished La Moye Golf Club, the Brooks Macdonald / Bloodwise Jersey charity golf day was held in glorious sunshine. With an amazing 25 teams competing for the trophy and prizes it was a huge success which, with the addition of a raffle, raised a little over £20,000 for the charity.
The winners of the competition were team Natwest International. Team members Simon Parker, Ian Henderson, Jonathan Ferrara and Martin Hodson finished with a super 98 points.
The day started with coffee and bacon baguettes from 7.30am in the clubhouse followed by a 8.30am shotgun tee-off. Following the tournament, the players returned to the clubhouse for drinks and then a delicious three-course lunch. After lunch, prize-giving was held with prizes for the top four teams, longest drive and nearest the pin. Last of all a raffle with all the prizes having been donated to our charity.
Thank you to especially Brooks Macdonald for their wonderful support both financially and personally.
Thanks go also to all the teams who played in our golf day, La Moye Golf Club whose course was magnificent as was their hospitality and to all the most generous companies and individuals who donated raffle prizes on the day.
Bloodwise Jersey are truly grateful to everyone involved in helping us raise funds to help fight blood cancers.
